Two Page Explanation of Why We Use the King James Bible (KJB)

Clicking any footnote takes you to the scripture verse.  The browser “back” button takes you back to where you were.

People can be saved from reading the RSV, the NIV, and many other Bible versions just as they can be saved from gospel tracts or by conversations.  The problem is spiritual growth.  Modern versions teach that Jesus was an imperfect, lying sinner.  An imperfect sacrifice could not pay the price for our sins; the modern Jesus cannot save.  As Christians leave milk behind and move on to strong meat (Heb. 5:14[1]), accurate Scripture becomes more and more important.

Flaws in the Modern Jesus

Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.  John 7:8

The NIV, ESV, NASB, and RSV omit the word “yet.”  Their Jesus lied: He went to the feast (Jn. 7:9-10[2]).

These versions say that Jesus sinned when He was angry.  The KJB doesn’t:

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the
judgment:  Matthew 5:22a (KJB)

The NIV, ESV, NASB, and RSV took out “without a cause.”  Their Jesus sinned by being angry (Mk. 3:5[3]).

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  Ephesians 4:26

Righteous anger is not a sin.  Leaving out “without a cause” denies Jesus’ sinless perfection.

He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent himJohn 5:23

Can the Modern Jesus Save?

Moses’ Law told Jews to sacrifice unblemished, valuable animals to anticipate Jesus, the coming Perfect Savior.  Malachi 1:8[4] tells of God’s anger at being offered inferior animals.  1 Peter 1:19-21[5] explains that Jesus lived a sinless life and fulfilled Moses’ law (Mt. 5:18[6], Lk. 21:32[7]) to become the perfect sacrifice.

Leviticus 12 explains how a mother needed 33 days of purification after circumcising a son:

And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.  Leviticus 12:4

Joseph and Jesus’ mother fulfilled the law:

And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;  Luke 2:22 (KJB)

The RSV, ESV, and NASB say “their purification” in Luke 2:22.  This error makes no sense: Moses’ Law said that one person, the mother, needed purification after giving birth, not the father and the baby.  A Jesus who needed purification could not be a perfect sacrifice; imperfect blood couldn’t save anyone.

Every word of the Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Pe. 1:21[8], 2 Tim. 3:16[9]).  The RSV, ESV and NASB say “her purification” in Leviticus 12 and “their purification” in Luke 2:22.  The Holy Spirit makes no mistakes; heretics deliberately corrupted the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus manuscripts to deny Jesus’ perfect sacrifice.

The NIV hides this issue, “When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses...”  That is not translation; it’s a way to avoid the error the translators saw in the manuscript.

And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.  Luke 2:33

The RSV, ESV, and NASB use “child’s father.”  This means that Mary became pregnant by Joseph out of wedlock.  This denies that Jesus was the only Begotten Son of God and makes Jesus participate in Adam’s sin:

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:  Romans 5:12
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.  I Corinthians 15:22

The KJB shows that Joseph was not Jesus father, Jesus was not a bastard or a child of fornication (Mt. 1:18-21[10]), and sin did not pass upon Him.  His resurrection shows that He has the power to make us all alive again.

God No Longer Came In The Flesh

Newer versions substitute of hos (he) for theos (God) in Paul’s letter to Timothy:

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God (theos) was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.  I Timothy 3:16 (KJB)

The NIV, ESV, NASB, and RSV refer to “he (hos)” being manifest or revealed in the flesh instead of God.  A man being seen in a human body is no mystery - anyone born of woman is manifest or revealed or seen in the flesh.  The mystery is God appearing in a human body that suffered hunger, weariness, and pain.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the worldI John 4:1-3 (KJB)

Newer versions “confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh” so they are not of God.  Weakening the doctrine of salvation through a perfect sacrifice of the Son of God who appeared in the flesh and walked among people in a human body is condemned in Deu. 4:2[11] and Rev. 22:19[12].  This is “that spirit of antichrist.”

And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.  II Samuel 21:19 (KJB)

The RSV, NIV, ESV, and NASB leave out “the brother of” and say that Elhanan slew Goliath.  1 Sam. 21:9[13] says that David slew Goliath.  How can “bibles” with mistakes like this be “more accurate” than the KJB?
